SPORT — The 158-Neighbourhood Games
A civic effort to design a sport system where the world's best athletes and lifelong physical practice for everyone are part of the same system, not two separate ones.
People, practitioners, and fans are prioritized over podiums and medals. Physical practice is organized around five areas: skill, fitness, nutrition, recovery, and a daily quiet practice (such as breathing or stillness). Its guiding principle, “personal-limits-only,” centers progress against your own best rather than others' scoreboards; competition still exists but sits on top of personal practice, entered by choice.
The flagship idea combines this into a season-long, neighbourhood-based sports and mastery-demonstration system running from neighbourhood rounds through ward rounds to city finals, including a built-in rest period.
This program has not been ratified. Nothing here is a promise, and no real neighbourhood, coach, school, or child has been contacted about any part of it.
